The Duathlon was a 2 mille, 18 mile, 2.5 mile effort around the Mall in West Des Moines. It was good to see everyone out to race that day. I started relatively easy coming in near the end of the fast pack on the first half of the run. But I got after the bike pretty good and passed all the fast runners in a split of 43:06. Ran well on the back half run which was about a half mile longer than run#1. Finished 13th overall and 2nd in my age group. Was a nice morning, a great tune up and a well run event!
